I can’t believe we’re on the last week of January already. It feels like just yesterday I was writing my New Years post, and now I’m sitting here sharing Valentines Day tips with you guys while Chloe is sleeping in her nursery. So far, motherhood has been challenging (I haven’t been getting that much sleep) but incredibly fulfilling. Thank you everyone for all your support so far!
I want to start off this week by sharing with you guys today one thing that often gets overlooked on Valentines Day… your lip color. Having the perfect lip color is one of those things that can make or break your look. 3. Sultry Violet
In my post earlier this fall, I shared with you guys that a dark lip is perfect for adding mystery and drama to your look. Bring back the dark lip for a daring night out! The study involved 50 men viewing photos of women wearing red lipstick, pink lipstick or no lipstick at all. Researchers found that the men spent an average of 7.3 seconds staring at the women wearing red lipstick.
The shades of red (let it be orange-red, blue-red or true red), are all about making a bold statement that projects a confidence and self-assuredness to the world. If you subconsciously choose bright red lipstick, men think that you are a passionate being. You enjoy being admired and you don’t mind if others see your sensual side. In that same study of Manchester it was also found that men spent 6.7 seconds looking at the pink lipped ladies and only 2.2 seconds at those who wore no lipstick. So clearly shades of pink are the second favorite lipstick shade for men to look at.
Sweet pink is the symbol of everything cute and hence brings out the cuteness of the wearer. According to men women who wear sweet pink shade have extremely soft and sophisticated nature!
