Introduction for the material:

What is Sugarcane Bagasse?

Sugarcane Bagasse is fibrous matter that remains after juice extraction.

How bagasse products are manufactured?

Rather than throwing away or burning sugarcane stalks, the pulp is made into paper-like substance called Bagasse. Bagasse can be molded into different shapes and products that are perfect for food service packaging.

Why use our products?

Sugarcane is a tree-free renewable resource. Bagasse waste are often burned in the fields creating pollution when not in use. We use bagasse to manufacturer eco friendly food service products replacing traditional paper, plastics and styrofoam products. Bagasse also requires less energy to manufacturer than plastics products, thereby making its more energy efficient to produce. By adopting bagasse products, we are pledging to help reduce pollution and energy consumption. Bagasse sugarcane plates, bowl, compartment trays and food containers are a safer and more environmentally responsible alternative for the food service industry.

How long does bagasse products take to biodegrade?

Bagassse Sugarcane products normally biodegrade within 90 days; plastics will take up to 400 years to degrade and styrofoam never degrades!

What is the difference between Bagasse vs. Corn/PLA?

PLA stands for Polylectic acid and is made from corn starch, while Bagasse Sugarcane products are made from residue of sugarcane extract. Bagasse sugarcane production resolves the bagasse waste problem and helps reduce air pollution.

PLA products are only suitable for cold food; while bagasse sugarcane products are suitable for hot and cold food.

Bagasse Sugarcane products will decompose faster at the commercial composting facility compared to PLA products.

The production of PLA products typically requires more energy than bagasse sugarcane products.
