Ball valves control flow and pressure of liquids or gases through pipes and hoses. An exterior lever opens and closes the valve. By turning the handle parallel to the valve, an interior ball rotates to an open position to allow flow. Turning the handle 90 degrees rotates the ball to a closed position.
