When choosing the floaters, we must know the following points:
1.Buoyancy: usually the buoyancy need to be 30% higher than the pipelines weights(including 1.3 ration slurries). When the pipeline working, the floaters above the water surface should be about 1/4 of the height of steel pipes.
2.Weight: no less 3-5% than the ordered goods. The weight of the floaters is related to the hull weight and the foam’s density and volume. The foam density should be about 35kg/m3.
3.Plastify strength: the plasticized well floaters will have a flat and smooth surface without obvious particles, with best tensile strength.
4.Foam’s density: about 35kg/m3，with tensile strength of 0.2 Mpa. There is a little bit flexibility without stick and crisp. The floaters have such properties will be the best and most durable floaters.
