The rice cooker is the most used home appliance in our daily life, you must know a lot about its brand and performance, but how much do you know about the development history of rice cookers? Do you know who invented the world's first electric rice cooker?

The world's first rice cooker.

The world's first electric rice cooker was invented in the 1950s by the Japanese Inoue Fukuda's Tokyo Communication Engineering Company. Inoue Fukuda's barrel rice cooker had to stay at the prototype product stage because of his limited technical capabilities at the time, steaming rice that was easy to break and difficult to swallow. Although the product development failed, his innovative spirit influenced the birth of the first generation of rice cookers.

The development of the rice cooker.

The first generation - automatic rice cookers with mechanical heating

The original automatic rice cooker was designed to be very simple and operated by a single button. It works on the principle that when the cook button is pressed, the magnetic thermostat is sucked in and drives the magnetic lever, which turns the micro switch from an off state to a closed state, thus switching on the power to the electric heating plate and making it start to heat up. When the temperature of the magnetic thermostat reaches about 140°C, the heat-sensitive magnetic block loses its magnetism and cuts off the power.

The second generation of microcomputer rice cooker with technological elements

When the microcomputer rice cooker was launched, its functions were no longer limited to cooking rice, but also added a variety of elements such as timing, keeping warm and menu selection to achieve a pot with multiple uses. It works on the principle that the microcomputer detects the temperature of the main thermostat and the temperature of the upper lid sensor, and when the corresponding temperature meets the working temperature range, it can power on the electric heating plate and make it start heating up. When the microcomputer detects that the temperature of the main thermostat has reached the temperature limit, it will disconnect the power supply to the hotplate. In the microcomputer stage, the rice cooker has basically realized the intelligence.

The third generation - IH rice cooker focusing on the quality of rice

IH rice cooker

IH is the abbreviation of Induction Heating, which is also known as induction heating technology. The principle is to turn on the alternating current through an electromagnetic coil, so that the internal metal generates frictional heat on its own. While ordinary rice cookers only heat the bottom, IH rice cookers heat the bottom and all sides together, which means 360° all-round three-dimensional heating, so that the rice cooked is heated evenly and is sweeter than rice cooked in ordinary rice cookers. And in the era of IH rice cooker, it has achieved full intelligence, not only can the touch screen control the switch, but also can be connected to the mobile phone wifi, control the rice cooker.

From the birth of the world's first rice cooker, to the development of the next three generations of rice cookers, from the rice can be swallowed, to rice can be tasted, every technological progress, can not be separated from the needs of people. Technology for people, and people's needs are constantly changing according to the environment, so the future development of rice cookers is still a long road.

Vikaf-Guangzhou Huijiafu Industrial Co., Ltd. is a R&D and manufacturing company focusing on the foreign trade of rice cookers, especially commercial rice cookers. We are the first and the largest supplier of IH commercial rice cookers in China. We have a wide range of products for you to choose from.
